I completely agree with you on how horrible the ghettos were that the jews had to live in. Even though living in the concentration camps was bad, when they had to live in the ghettos before hand they were very confused and didn't know where they were going or what was going to happen to them or their families. This was a major first stage that happened in the holocaust and it lead to things that were much wores. In response to: In WWII the Germans forced many Jews into these homes which were very dirty and hard to live in before they went to the concentration camps. These homes usually had many families living in each and were often closed off so that no one could get in or out unless the Germans wanted them to. In the ghettos the people didn't have much food. In the homes there wern't any heat so it was very cold in the winter. they Jews would stay here for awhi8le untilthey were huled off to an even more horrible place. Ghoettos are important because these were just the begining of a long hard journey for theJews. In response to: Research and write about ghettos, such as the Warsaw Ghetto.
