Mrs. Wuenstel and Mrs. Johnson's Classes

Tumbleweed School

Palmdale, California

On Johnny Appleseed's birthday, September 26, our second grade classes are going to have an Applefest. Each class will prepare a different apple dish and all the second graders will get to sample each one. We will graph the favorites. We are making applesauce, apple butter, apple crisp, apple cider, and apples with caramel dip. It's always great fun.

Apple Sensory Poems

Apples taste sweet and juicy and yummy to my tummy.
They feel soft and bumpy.
They sound silent like they're not there.
They smell good and tasty.
They look big and round. by Ian S. and Jessica G.

The apples taste good, excellent, good.
They sound crunchy, crunchy, crunchy.
The apples feel hard, smooth, and cold.
They look red and round.
I'll take a sniff and WOW it smells good.
