Clinton Avenue Elementary School has been my home away from home for the last six years.  So much happened during each of those years, and I have a lot of memories of my time at Clinton.
The first Clinton memory I have is of my bus driver, Mrs. DeMato.  She drove me to and from school for three years.  She knew my name and was very nice.
In kindergarten, I became friends with Nicole P., in first grade I became friends with Megan K., and in second grade I became friends with Tami G. and Alex L.  We shared a lot of laughs and secrets at Clinton Avenue.
Ms. Rubin, my third grade teacher, called me her "assistant."  I helped her grade our school assignments.
Taking trips to the Statue of Liberty, Boston, and Washington D.C. was exciting and memorable.
From Mrs. Zagarello to Mr. Eaton, every one of my teachers was fun, interesting, and nice.   At Clinton Avenue, I have learned a lot, made good friends, and have many happy memories.

When I was in kindergarten, I put on a play with Mrs. McCormick's class.  Kindergarten was fun.  When I advanced into Mrs. Bell's class I learned to read.  That year I won a merit award in the science fair.
In second grade I improved in all the subjects, especially, spelling.  Mrs. Johnson taught me a ton.  She was nice and sweet, so I had fun.
In third I had a teacher who was a beginner.  Her name is Miss Rubin.  She taught me how to multiply.  She improved me in math.
Fourth was great.  I had Mrs. McAllister.  She got me ready for fifth.   With a teacher with more experience I learned more than ever.
Now I'm in fifth with Mr. Eaton.  I'm ready for a new school now, which means a new life.  Watch out J.F.K.  Here I come!  Thanks Clinton Ave.

In 1995 I first came to Clinton Ave. for second grade.  Mrs. Muffly was my teacher.  She was very nice.
My first friend was Danny A.  He came up to me and said, "Hi."
My second friend was Joey R.  That was the year of my life.
In 1996 I walked into Mrs. Moller's class.  She was awesome as a teacher.  That year flew by fast and then it was time to go.
In 1997 I was in fourth grade and I had Mrs. Joline. She was a very nice teacher.
This year Mr. Eaton was very nice.  He was the best teacher. (Thank you Mr. Eaton for the year.  I'll visit next year.)

My Clinton Avenue memories go back to when I walked through the doors to kindergarten.  I was in Mrs. Neilson's class.
I had lots of friends.  My best friend was Philip O.
Over the years I made lost of new friends, but still kept a lot of the old ones.
I'm now in fifth grade and the school year is almost over.  I had lots of good memories this year.  My favorites were the trips.  I'm going to miss Clinton Ave. School.  I'll also miss you, Mr. Eaton!
Joey R.
I have a lot of memories from all of my years at Clinton Avenue.  I have been here for six years.  In kindergarten my teacher was Mrs. McCormick; First grade; Mrs. Kleinpeter; Second grade; Mrs Johnson; Third Grade; Mrs, Tuthill; Fourth Grade; Mrs. McAllister; and Fifth Grade Mr. Eaton.
I don't want to leave my school because I will miss everyone.  My hardest teacher was probably Mr. Eaton.  I have had a lot of fun at Clinton Avenue.  I hope to have as much fun next year.

Although I have been here for eight months, it sure feels like I've been here for two or more years.  Since I was new I had to make many new friends.  Clinton Ave. has given me many things.   Happiness, laughter, and joy.  I wish I could be in Clinton Ace. for another year.  I will never forget my days in Clinton Ave. School.

I remember the first day of kindergarten, and I was so excited.  I had Mrs. Irvine.  She was nice.  I will always love this school and I will always have memories that I will never forget.   I still can't believe that in one week and four more days I will be gone from this school.
I will miss this school so, so much.  Six years in this school went so fast.  I will miss Mr. Eaton a lot.
Ingred L.
These are all the memories that I have had at Clinton Avenue.
In kindergarten I had Mrs. McCormick.  What I love the most of all was the rabbit named Silver.
In First grade I had Mrs. Kleinpeter.  what I loved about her was that she was a great teacher.
In Second grade I had Mrs. Johnson.  I loved that she gave out pencils.
In Third grade I had Mrs. Tuthill.  She taught me a lot.
In Fourth grade I had Mrs. McAllister.  I loved that you could always talk to her.
In Fifth grade I had Mr. Eaton.  I'm glad I'm leaving Clinton after having such a good teacher.

"Memories"
by Kenny G.

Kindergarten was the best,
I never had to work hard.
First grade was fun,
We had to work.
Second was nice,
Mrs. Cobb was even nicer.
Third grade was better,
Ms. Rubin was kind.
Fourth grade I read a lot
And that was fun.
Fifth grade has finally come
My time has come to move on,
HOORAY!

Last year, on September fourth, I stepped into Clinton for the first time.  I looked around and I didn't know anyone.  I was in Mrs. Joline's class for fourth grade.  Since then I have met many friends.  Some of my fourth grade friends were Nicole F., Michelle M., Meg K., Jesse R., and James R. and others.
Over the summer the only friend I really saw a lot was Nicole F. because I was very busy with my show, "The Wiz."
This year I am in Mr. Eaton's class and I met many new friends like Latoya, Chanelle, Joey, Codey, Mike K., Mike S., Corey, Nicole, Alex, Alesa, Jassmin, and others.  My favorite memory was when Jessica in Mrs. Gerardi's class said she wanted to marry me.
I have memories at Clinton that I will hold onto as I leave Clinton.

My Clinton Ave. memories are: My teacher Mr. Eaton.  He has showed me a lot of things.  Another memory is my new friends.  Mrs. Fortunoff is our principal.  She made me feel welcome to this school.  Field Day is another memory.  These are my Clinton memories.

I am going to Clinton Avenue Elementary School.  In 5th grade I had Mr. Eaton.  He is very smart.  I like him even though sometimes he can give a lot of homework.  We got to graduate from a program we took.  It's called D.A.R.E. and we got to graduate from Clinton Avenue School.
I am a little sad that I'm leaving Clinton Avenue because I spent 6 years in this school.   It feels really weird that I'm leaving.  I will miss the teachers and all the things about Clinton Avenue.  I will also miss all my friends because I'm going to go to St. Joseph's Middle School, not JFK.

Kindergarten was my first year at Clinton
And many things I made
Mrs. McCormick was my teacher
And it was my favorite grade.

Then I moved on to first grade
I learned to type much better
Mrs. Kleinpeter was my teacher
And I know I'll never forget her.

Then I advanced on to second
And third and fourth grade too.
Mrs. Cobb and Ms. Rubin, Mrs. McAllister
Just to name a few.

Fifth grade was a major milestone
Mr. Eaton was truly great!
Even though I'm going to miss Clinton
It is time to graduate!

In September of '92 I was getting ready to go on the bus.  I was all dressed nice and ready to go.  I was so excited.  I got into school and met my teacher Mrs. McCormick.  I was on my journey at Clinton Ave.
One day I walked into her class and said, "I am so big now and the class is so small."  In a few years I was at the end of my journey at Clinton Ave.  I have a teacher named Mr. Eaton.  Now I am going to move on to the Middle School.

My Clinton memories are of when I first came to Clinton Ave School for fourth grade.  Mr. Candela was my teacher.  Mr. Candela was so funny.  On the first day in his class I had a puzzle for homework.  On the last day of school I missed my friends and of course, Mr. Candela.
In fifth grade Mr. Eaton was my teacher.  He has a good sense of humor.  He is the best teacher in fifth grade.  I will miss Mr. Eaton and Mr. Candela.  I had good times in both classes.  In my humble opinion Mr. Eaton is an open hearted teacher.  I am glad that he was my teacher because he explains things easier and he treats people the way he wants to be treated.  My memories of Clinton Ave. School are GREAT!!!!
Jassmin B.
It was the first day of school.  Soon bus "S" came and I got on it.  it would be my first day in Mrs. Irvine's class.  I was nervous, but I would have a great year.
Soon I got older and older.  I made my way through Ms. King, Mrs. Cobb, Ms. Rubin, and Mrs. McAllister's classes.  Now, I'm in Mr. Eaton's class.  I never thought this year would come, but I'm getting ready for J.F.K. with mixed feelings.  I'll get used to it, just like I did for Clinton Avenue School.

I have a lot of Clinton Ave. memories.  I have been here since Kindergarten.  I met a lot of good friends.   I am sad to have to leave.  Ever since before I was born, a relative has been at Clinton.
I've had many teachers.  I had Mrs. Zagerello, after that there was Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Moller, Mrs. McAllister, and Mr. Eaton.  I liked all my teachers.
I wouldn't be anywhee if I didn't go to elementary school.  Clinton was a great school.
Nicole P.
My Clinton memories all started when I walked into the school at age six for kindergarten.
It was tht first time I had ever taken a bus to school.  I have some of the friends that I met in kindergarten.  I hope we will stay friends forever.
Clinton Ave. has been a really nice place to be.  The teachers have all been nice.   I've joined Girl Scouts, soccer, and dance over the years while in Clinton Ave.
Now I'm in Mr. Eaton's class.  I went through six years.  They were the best years of my life.

"Clinton Memories"
by Cody R.

Clinton Avenue was a lot of fun,
I think this school is number one,
I have been here for many years,
When I'm gone I will shed some tears.
But now its time go go away,
It's off to JFK!

One day I went to school when I was in kindergarten and one of the girls was yelling because a pigeon was on her chair.   I got up and scared it away.  I had fun that day.  Kindergarten was the best year of school I ever had.

I remember the first time I walked into Clinton Avenue Elementary School.  I thought that Clinton Avenue, was a great big school, because I was so young.  Then I went to first grade, second, third, fourth, and now finally fifth grade.  Here are some of the teachers that I've had since kindergarten.  In kindergarten I had Mrs. Neilson.  In first grade I had Mrs. Bell.  In second grade I had Mrs. Cobb.  In third grade I had Mr. Davis and Mr. Candela for math.  In fifth grade I have Mr. Eaton, and Mr. Vitale for math.   To be honest I think that Mr. Eaton and Mr. Vitale are the best teachers.  I will never forget Clinton Ave.  because of all the good times I've had, and I will also never forget all of my teachers that I've had for six years.  I promise I will never forget Mr. Eaton or Mr. Vitale.
