Hi! My name is Susan Silverman, and I teach second grade in The Comsewogue School District, Long Island, New York. I have been a teacher for twenty-seven years. My hobbies are traveling to exotic destinations, scuba diving, hiking in beautiful places, ecology, and surfing the web. While traveling I take slides that are used in my teaching units. I enjoy teaching my students about the world and the importance of protecting our earth and respecting all people. Although I have many years of teaching experience, I am new to technology. This is my second class website and I am very excited about using technology as a teaching tool. This fall we will be hosting a global Internet project called An Apple a Day. There will be another project this winter and a project on bats this spring. Thank you for visiting our site and please come back often.
