Today was my day to be recognized as Hofstra University/News 12 Long Island Educator of the Month.  During the afternoon our class was visited by several faculty members from Hofstra University.  They  interviewed and videotaped us as we followed a typical class activity.  Sometime later this month we will be on  television!   We then went to the cafeteria for an assembly in my honor.  Members of the administration and teachers' association were there to celebrate.  I received a plaque from the Port Jefferson Station Teacher Association and Hofstra University/News 12.   The PTA hosted a lovely reception in our school library.  My class, teachers, administration, family and parents were there in my honor.  Below are some photos that my husband took of this wonderful day!
