Our Teacher

Hello! My name is Susan Silverman and I teach second grade at Clinton Avenue Elementary School, Comsewogue School District, Port Jefferson Station, New York. I have been teaching since 1970. That doesn't mean I'm an old teacher, but a master teacher! My hobbies include scuba diving, ecotourism, traveling to exotic destinations, reading, and surfing the web!

People often ask me how I find the time to teach second grade, maintain a class web site, coordinate Internet projects, prepare presentations for technology conferences and write articles for technology magazines. To tell you the truth, it would have been impossible do this when my children were young and at home. I am very fortunate to have a supportive husband who is my technology mentor, computer technician and editor.
