Connector Chapter 8 I would emphasis the idea that Klaus has spent a lot of time and effort reading and researching through the night and was triumphant in the sense that he found out the information he needed. I think this is a great idea to share with students because it conveys the idea that hard work often leads to a pay off. In this case he discovered Count Oalf’s plan. I would relate this concept to real life events by relating it to a school experience. I had to give an oral presentation in a music class recently and I ended up spending the majority of my night memorized what I was going to say. As I told my story to students I would emphasis that I felt exhausted like Klaus did, but my hard work paid off, just as Klaus’ did, since I did an excellent job conveying information during my oral presentation. I was triumphant, like Klaus was, since I accomplished my goal. I think by sharing this story it will be easier to relate to how the character Klaus is feeling.
