Carrie Ferguson Chapter 2 Discussion Director Questions: 1. This chapter had a lot of descriptions about people and places. What are some descriptions or adjectives that were most powerful? 2. Why does Count Olaf have pictures and a tattoo of an eye? Does the eye symbolize something about his personality? Is Count Olaf actually able to watch people wherever they are in his house (like the children wondered)? 3. We have only learned about Count Olaf’s outside appearances (his house and his clothing). Do you think that his personality will be good or bad using the evidence already given? In response to: Please describe your thoughts on this chapter from your literature circle role perspective.
