Literary Illuminator A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Bad Beginning Chapter 2 Dilapidated- pg 20 -Having fallen into a state of disrepair or deterioration, as through neglect; broken-down and shabby. I chose this word because I didn’t know what it meant. Fused- pg 12 -To liquefy or reduce to a plastic state by heating; melt. -To mix (constituent elements) together by or as if by melting; blend. This word shows just how strong the fire was that burned down there house. In the story the fire was so big and hot that is fused Violets microscope. Wheezy- pg 22 - Given to wheezing. - Producing a wheezing sound. The word wheezy is a good describing word of how Count Olaf talks. I can just hear him talking with a wheezy voice.
