I am the discussion director for Chapter 2. This is my journal entry: 1. In the beginning of Chapter 2, the Baudelaire children find out that they will be leaving the Poe’s home to live with a distant relative. The author tells us that they had “mixed feelings” about the move. What do you think this means, and why would the children have mixed feelings? 2. If the Baudelaire children arrived at Justice Strauss’ house and found out that they would have been living with her and Count Olaf, how do you think they would have felt and why? 3. What was your first impression of Count Olaf, based on the description of him in Chapter 2? How do you think the Baudelaire children will like living with him?
