I was designated Discussion Director for Chapter Seven. 1).Do you think the Baudelaire children should have told Justice Strauss about their idea how Count Olaf was using the play as a trick to somehow obtain the children's inheritance? Do you think Justice Strauss would have acted the same way as Mr. Poe did towards the children? Why or why not and explain using reasoning. 2). Violet tells Klaus that she thinks maybe Count Olaf is just trying to welcome them into the family, even after all she has seen and been through while in Count Olaf's care. Why do you think she tells Klaus this? Explain. 3). If you were in Klaus's situation would you be able to read those law books and understand them? What types of information would you be looking for in those books? Would you have been brave enough to grab that one book before leaving Justice Strauss's house knowing that you could get in trouble with Count Olaf again? In response to: Please describe your thoughts on this chapter from your literature circle role perspective.
