For chapter eight I am the passage master. The first passage I chose is on page 94: "The book was long, and difficult to read, and Klaus became more and more tired as the night wore on. Occasionally his eyes would close. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over. He found himself reading the same sentence over and over." I chose this passage because I know I have definately read the same sentence over and over when I get tired. When I read that part it made me stop for a second because I thought I really had read the same sentence. I thought it was neat how the author chose to do that. The second passage I chose is on page 99: "Klaus looked closely at Count Olaf, who was continuing to smile as if he had just told a clever joke. Why wasn't he threatening Klaus in anger, or tearing his hair out in frustration, or running to pack his clothes and escape?" I thought this passage was interesting because it is showing Count Olaf acting in a very differnt way then we are used to. It makes me question why he is being so calm? What is he up to?
