Since I was the illustrator for chapter 8, I chose to be the Passage Master. There were two passages that I found important in this chapter. The first passage was on page 98-99 when Count Olaf reacts very calmly when Klaus figures out what he is up to. This would be a good time to stop and discuss why we think the Count is acting that way. We could predict whether or not we think that the Count is going to still find a way to marry Violet. The other passage that I thought would be important to stop and discuss was the last paragraph of the chapter on pages 101-102. It would be good to predict if Count Olaf has Sunny or knows where Sunny is. It would also be good to discuss what we think he is going to do next. Journal Entry: I found these chapters to be interesting as well as the first three. I am curious to see what will happen at the play. I wonder if the Count will stay manage to end up marrying Violet. I feel like he might or might have another idea, since he reacted so calmly. This also seems evident since he isn't a very nice man and doesn't treat the children very nicely. He only wants there money. In response to: Please describe your thoughts on this chapter from your literature circle role perspective.
