Jessica Mazzoli Chapter Five Literary Role: Discussion Director (originally illustrator) 1. In this chapter, Violet seems to be the voice of reason for the children and in dealing with Mr. Poe. Do you think she will continue to have this role and what are some clues that the author gives that makes us think that she is in control? 2. Looking back at the children’s meeting with Mr. Poe, how do you think he really feels about the children? 3. The Baudelaire children really enjoy reading books.
