This years race consisted of 2200 race participants from all over the world. the race began with the swimmingleg at 6:50 AM. The first people in the water where the professional athletes that competed for 50,000 dollars in prize money. In this years race approximately 35 professionals competed. At 7:00 AM the rest of the field hit the water and the race was on!
