We read several books about signs of fall:
The Reasons for Seasons by Gail Gibbons
Why Do Leaves Change Colors? By Betsy Maestro
It’s Fall! By Linda Glaser
Fall Changes by Ellen B. Senisi.
We also read Junie B., First Grader
Cheater Pants by Barbara Parks. In this book the students
were taught how to write cinquains, a type of poetry. We wrote
cinquains about things we see in the fall and illustrated them,
using the software program Kid Pix Deluxe 3.
