Our class enjoyed Three Cheers for Tacky by Helen Lester. This story aroused our curiosity about penguins so we decided to learn more about these fascinating birds. We read more penguin stories, researched penguins on the Internet, wrote stories, poems, did penguin craft projects and put on a play. Mrs. Silverman created a template for us in Kidspiration where we sorted penguins and other bird graphics. We also worked on our keyboarding skills by writing sentences about penguins. We did this computer activity with a partner. |
