Mitten Descriptions

Matthew’s Mitten
My mitten has two vertical zigzag lines in the middle and in between the zigzag lines it is colored yellow. There are diagonal lines coming out of the sides of the zigzag lines - five on the left and four on the right. The color in between the lines, starting at the top goes red, blue, red, blue, red, blue on the left and on the right it goes blue, red, blue, red, blue. On the cuff of the mitten in between the knitted pieces it is colored yellow and the knitted pieces are colored red, then blue, red, blue, red, blue.

Teresa’s Mitten
My mitten has a big yellow five pointed star in the middle. There are 8 wavy, vertical lines on the mitten and there are 6 wavy vertical lines on the thumb. Each section is colored in the following pattern: red, blue, green, starting from the right and going left.

Ryan’s Mitten
Start my mitten by drawing 10 blue rhombuses forming a snowflake with one of the corners of each rhombus pointing to the center. Next draw two lines out of each rhombus point that is pointing out and color in between the lines yellow. Make sure the lines go out to the edge of the mitten, but not into the cuff. Then draw red dash lines in between the yellow lines out to the edge of the middle, but not into the cuff. Next color the cuff blue and yellow. Color the knitted lines yellow and color in between the lines blue. Finally outline the mitten red, except for the cuff.

Nick’s Mitten
My mitten has five lines across it. Starting at the top there are three yellow triangles on the first line. On the next three lines there are four yellow triangles and the 5th line has three yellow triangles. All the triangles are pointing up. The cuff is yellow and the thumb is green.

Jasmine’s Mitten
My mitten has seven horizontal lines. The pattern on the lines starting at the top is two black stars on the first line, then three red hearts on the second line. Next is three black stars, then three red hearts. You follow this pattern of three black stars and three red hearts on each line. On the thumb there are three horizontal lines. The first line has two black stars. On the next line there are three red hearts. Then on the last line there are two black stars. Behind all the black stars color the space red and behind all the red hearts color the space yellow. On the cuff the pattern is yellow, black, red, black starting on the left.

Brandon’s Mitten
My mitten is red, white, and blue. It has 12 zigzags going across. The thumb is all red and the top of the mitten above the zigzags is all red, too. The spaces in between the zigzags follow a pattern of being colored white, red, white, blue, white, blue, white, red, white, blue, white, and red. On the cuff of my mitten all the knitted parts are all white and the spaces in between are red.

Graham’s Mitten
My mitten has a yellow sun in the center. The circle part of the sun is outlined in purple. It has a pattern of long wavy yellow rays and short wavy orange rays coming from the outside of the sun. Starting at the top of the sun in the center there are 11 yellow rays and in between each one is a short orange ray for another 11 rays. The sun has blue eyes with black in the middle. It also has a smiley face. The mitten is outlined in red. In the thumb I have a yellow crescent moon that is also outlined in purple. The cuff has a purple, red, purple, red pattern. The background of the mitten is white.

Valynncia’s Mitten
My mitten has four horizontal green lines. On the first green line there are three red hearts. On the second green line there are three orange circles. On the third green line there are three red hearts. On the fourth green line there are three orange circles. The background is colored yellow. The cuff has vertical stripes. Starting on the left side the colors are red, orange, red, green, orange, green, yellow.

Piper’s Mitten
My mitten has three colors. They are blue, green, and yellow. The top of the mitten is blue. Then there is a pattern of wavy horizontal stripes of green, yellow, and blue. Each section is colored in. On the cuff of the mitten there is a vertical pattern of blue, white, green, white, yellow, and white. The colors are on the knitted parts.

Michael’s Mitten
My mitten has 20 vertical lines, starting at the tip of the thumb. It goes like this: red, white, blue, red, white, blue and on and on. On the cuff starting on the left the pattern goes like this: red on the lace, then white on the not knitted part, then blue on the lace. On the not knitted part is red, the lace is white, the not knitted part is blue, then the lace is red, the not knitted part is white, now the lace is blue, the not knitted part is red, now the lace is white.

Sarah’s Mitten
My mitten has a butterfly in the middle. The butterfly has four orange wings. The top wings have three black dots and the bottom wings have one black dot. The body is black on bottom and the head is yellow. It has blue antennae. Color the thumb of the mitten green. Make a zigzag line across the top of the mitten, above the butterfly and make another line under the butterfly and above the cuff. Color these sections purple. Leave the background behind the butterfly white and outline the sides of it in green. On the cuff color all the knitted parts green.

Billy’s Mitten
The colors of my mitten are red, green, and blue. There are five horizontal red stripes and five horizontal green stripes. Color each section like this red, green, red, green, and so on. The color of the thumb is blue. The cuff goes like this: red, blue, green, blue, red, blue, red, blue, green, blue and red. The red and green are on the knitted parts and the blue is in the space between. The pattern starts on the left.

Lillian’s Mitten
The colors of my mitten are yellow, orange, and white. There is a yellow half moon in the middle with a purple stocking hat on it. On the yellow tip of the thumb there is a tiny orange sun. My mitten has 11 horizontal stripes on it. Above the top stripe it is colored orange. The next is section is white and then yellow. The same pattern is repeated down to the cuff. The cuff has three yellow stripes on the knitted part and three orange.

Mary’s Mitten
First in the center of the mitten draw a big red heart. Next inside of that heart draw a medium size orange heart. Then draw another yellow heart, then a green heart, a purple heart, and finally a blue heart in the center of all the other hearts. Color the first heart red and the next heart orange, then yellow, then green, then purple, then blue. At the bottom of the heart on the left side draw a star, then on the right of the heart draw another star. Color them yellow. Next along the top of the mitten draw seven upside down triangles. Color the first triangle red. Then color the second triangle orange, then the third triangle yellow. The fourth triangle is green, the fifth triangle is purple, and the sixth triangle is blue. Color the seventh triangle red, yellow, green, purple, and blue. In the thumb draw six horizontal lines . Then color the first section red, then orange, yellow, green, purple, blue. In the cuff draw 7 vertical lines. Color the first section red, then orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue.

James’ Mitten
My mitten has a snowman in the middle of it. To make the snowman, draw three circles - a small, a medium and a big one. On the medium circle put two black buttons. Make an orange carrot nose on the small circle. Make two black eyes and a red smiling mouth. Put a black hat on him with a yellow buckle. From the medium circle draw two brown sticks, one on each side, pointing up. Under the snowman draw two zigzag lines beside each other and color the space in between them red. On the cuff, starting on the left, color vertically these colors: orange, blue, purple, orange, blue, red, purple, green, orange and yellow. On the very top of the mitten draw 5 horizontal lines. Color the space at the top red, then the next space orange, then yellow, then green, then blue. On the thumb draw two blue snowflakes, each with five diamond shapes. Color the background on the rest of the mitten and thumb yellow.

Addie’s Mitten
My mitten is colorful. There is a yellow smiley face about the size of a half dollar. It has black eyes and a black smiling mouth. There are two close vertical zigzags from the top of the mitten to the top of the smiley face. In the space between the zigzags it is colored orange. The same zigzags go from the bottom of the smiley face to the top of the cuff. There are two horizontal zigzags very close together from the left side of the mitten to the left side of the smiley face. The space in between them is colored red. The same red zigzag goes from the right side of the mitten to the right side of the smiley face. Draw a line from the top right corner of the mitten to the right top of the smiley face. Do the same on the left side. Then do the same thing on the bottom. Color the space around the orange zigzags green. Color the spaces around the red zigzags blue. Color the thumb red. On the cuff starting on the left side, the vertical stripes go like this: purple, yellow, red, green, orange, red, green, blue, yellow, purple, and blue.
