We read
Stella Queen of the Snow by Marie Louise-Gay. After
hearing the story, we discussed and brainstormed activities on
the board that you might do if you were queen or king for the
day. Afterwards, we took those ideas and turned them into our
own short stories with illustrations created with Kid Pix. We
plan on having a dress up day where we dress as queens and kings
and read our stories aloud in the library.
If I Kelsey
were Queen for the day, I would rule the world. I would make
everyone do anything I say. I would like to be queen for the day
because I can do whatever I want. And I do not have to listen to
my parents. I would like to be a beautiful queen.
If I Nicky
were King for the day, I would wear a crown. I would buy myself
whatever I wanted. I would buy everything in the world. I would
live in a castle. I would sit on a throne. It would be nice to
be king for the day.
