What better way to chase away the winter "blah's" than with a fantastic, humorous story like Tacky the Penguin, by Helen Lester!  After reading Tacky the Penguin to my second grade class… and giggling quite a bit…we decided to implement our knowledge of adjectives, and describe TACKY!  Our class eagerly brainstormed a list of adjectives that properly described the whimsical character, and then wrote a "Class Acrostic Poem!"
