Mrs. Conlon and the 2nd grade students in Mattoon, Illinois read All You Need for a Snowman by Alice Schertle and illustrated by Barbara Lavallee. Students used Scholastic Keys to generate their own list of things you would need to make a snowman. They used Maxwrite to learn how to make a bulleted list. Next students used images on our local server to create their snowman using Kidspiration. The weather and the project worked together when we ended up with several snow days and students had recent real life experience building snowmen!
