After reading The Jacket I Wear In The Snow by Shirley Neitzel, my students decided to create a “summer” version of the story. We followed the same format and created a delightful new story for our classroom library.

This Is The Swimsuit I Wear To The Beach

This is the swimsuit I wear to the beach.
 This is the t-shirt,
that covers the swimsuit I wear to the beach.
 These are the flip-flops,
that match the t-shirt,
that goes over the swimsuit I wear to the beach.
 
These are the sunglasses that cover my eyes,
that I wear with the flip-flops,
that match the t-shirt,
that goes over the swimsuit I wear to the beach.
 
This is the sun visor I wear on my head,
that goes with the sunglasses that cover my eyes,
that I wear with the flip-flops,
that match the t-shirt,
that goes over the swimsuit I wear to the beach.
 
This is the towel I that dries me off,
after I took of the sun visor I wear on my head,
that goes with the sunglasses that cover my eyes,
that I wear with the flip-flops,
that match the t-shirt,
that goes over the swimsuit that I got all wet,
when I jumped in the water at the beach!
