Q1: Where was the Negro insurrection?
A1: The Negro insurrection was in Harpers Ferry, Virginia (now West
Virginia) Q2: What historical event is occurring at the
Arsenal?
A2:John Brown and a small group of rebels terrorized a small town.
Q3 Why did John Brown think his punishment was unjust?
A3: John Brown believed his punishment was unjust because of the reason
why he did it. He believed god was calling him to do something and he did
it.
Q4: If this happened today do you think that John Brown would
be found guilty? Support your position.
A4: If this happened today I do not believe it would matter if he was
found guilty. First of all people were killed and that's enough to put the
man away. Hiding behind God could mean his lawyer whispers insanity get
him off of death row and give him life in jail. Then the life in jail
honestly becomes a few years because in all honesty after a few decades in
jail people tend to forget how bad he was and they say give him another
chance.
Q5: What army is John Brown in now?
A5: If I wasn't religious I would say he wasn't in an army now. I am
religious and in all honesty God doesn't have him in an army now. Gods
army right now is angles fighting Lucifer and his demons in heaven. But
during the Tribulation God will take those dead and raptured and turn them
into the thousands of white horses riding who are unarmed riding into
battle behind Jesus with the double bladed sword as mentioned in
revelation. BUT according to this son yes he is in the army of the Lord.
Q6: Do you think an abolitionist would have sung this song?
Explain your answer.
A6: All abolitionists sing this song? No. Most-probably. John Brown was
also antislavery and he died for his beliefs. So that would inspire some
to sing this song like the Black Hat boys of the First Corps in the army
of the Potomac. But like all groups not everyone is supporting and there's
always a democrat who says he's a republican and vice versa. Why do you
think some regiments fought for northern cause {ex. 1st Alabama Regiment}
that's my case. |
