Q1:How are cryogenic techniques that we use today similar to mummification in ancient Egypt?
A1:Cryogenics involve freezing the bodies of the people who die, like Ted Williams of the
Boston Red Sox.  Mummification involved wrapping the bodies so that they would be preserved.  Both cryogenics and mummification work on the belief that the body would be useful later.  Cryogenics proponents believe the body may be brought back to life if frozen because of scientific advances.  Mummification proponents believed the  person would need the body for the after-life.

Q2:What is this mummy wrapped in?
A2:The mummy looks to be wrapped in a sack of some sort, perhaps cotton. The mummy also has bandages wrapped around it.
