Q1:  How did The Nile River contribute to the development of ancient Egyptian civilizations?
A1:  Ancient Egypt was "The gift of the Nile." The silt that came during the flooding of the Nile caused fertile soil for agriculture. The river was used for practically everything (transportation, bathing, washing clothes and drinking water).

Q2:  How does the geography of a country effect where people live today?
A2:  Due to technology and trade, people today need not live near rivers. Often a country's economy is the deciding factor. However, people are often influenced by a country's climate when they decide where to live.
