One of our
favorite authors is Leo Lionni. We read many books by this
famous author. One of our favorite books was Frederick.
Frederick is the story of a contemplative mouse who
dreams away the summer while others harvest food for the winter.
When the dreary weather comes and the food runs out, it's
Frederick who saves the day by warming the mice up with his
imaginative stories and poems of warm and beautiful places.
We
pretended to be Frederick. We used KidPix to draw pictures and
write sentences about the places we would describe to our mouse
friends to warm them up on the dreary days of hibernation.
