Mrs. Goudie's Class
First Grade

My class has been so excited to participate in the Spring Into Life web project. We chose to learn all about trees. We had so much fun and we are proud to share our finished projects with you.

Mrs. Goudie's daughter Katie came to visit one day. She is a terrific artist. She taught us how to use watercolors to paint a landscape of the hills around us. We added a row of trees. The pictures were awesome. Take a peek..... Remember we are first graders....

We had fun watching the slideshow Mrs. Goudie found on the internet.

We learned so much about trees we decided to create a mural of our own tree. We read The Seasons of Arnold's Apple Tree by Gail Gibbons, and fashioned our mural in that way. Here is the results of all our hard work....

If you start on the left you can see the seasons progress. Spring (blossoms) Summer (leaves, and fruit) Fall (leaves are turning colors) and Winter (no leaves).
