As
part of our Earth Day studies, we read In My World
by Lois Ehlert
.
In this book, the author names things she is thankful
for that can be found in nature. Our class discussed the
many natural resources the Earth provides us with. We
then brainstormed different types of places, such as the
arctic, a beach, and a forest. Using Kidspiration, the
students worked in collaborative groups to complete a
graphic organizer of things found in these places using
their five senses.
If
you would like to use these organizers in your classroom,
the files can be downloaded. You will need the program
Kidspiration to open them. The choices were left blank
for students to complete the idea on their own.
