Dear Children of The Earth: A Letter from Home

Summary (dictated by class)
Mrs. Pierce read us the book Dear Children of The Earth: A Letter from Home by Schim Schimmel. This book was written like a letter to us from Mother Earth. The illustrations are really beautiful to look at, and we liked what this book taught us. It told us that if we love the Earth we will take care of it and protect it. It also said that each one of us could do something to help the Earth. After we read the story, we brainstormed a list of things we could do to help Mother Earth. We had lots of great ideas from all of the other Earth Day books we had read. Then we used KidPix to make posters of things people could do to help the Earth be clean and pretty. We shared our posters with each other and with some of the other classes in our school. We hope you like them, because we worked very hard!
