We had a wonderful time learning about bats! Gail and I combined our classes for two days of cooperative centers. It was a huge success! At one of the centers the students wrote diamontes comparing bats to another animal of their choice. I have included these below.

Another center was a creative writing center. The students could select a prompt to use or they could write their own story about a bat. Here are some samples:
The day in the life of the bat was horrible. I ate a rat and three flies. I stayied in a dark cave and I had to sleep upside down.
