Letters to Irene
Dear Irene,

I think it was very brave of you to bring that dress to the palace.  Did it hurt when you fell in the snow?  I guess your mother was very proud of you.

From,
Ben H
Dear Irene,

I don't know if I could stand it when you sprained your ankle. I don't think I could get through a snowstorm.  I wouldn't be that brave like you were.

Love,
Jon M

A Different Ending was Created for the Book

Irene lost her mom's dress but then saw it on the roof. She asked the Dutchess to get the dress off the roof.

Idea by Blake A.
Irene came to the palace and knocked on the door. She had to tell the Dutchess the bad news, but when she started to tell her, she noticed something on the tree. It was the dress. But it was torn and ripped and very , very dirty and it couldn't be worn ever again. But the Dutchess was nice and she let her come in anyway.
The end.

By Molly J.
Irene had to tell the Dutchess what happened. She knocked on the door. The Dutchess opened the door. Then Irene told the story and before she could close the door, the dress flew in!!

By Daniel S.
Irene had to tell the Dutchess what happened. She knocked on the door. The Dutchess wasn't upset because of the terrible storm. So Irene was lucky that she didnt get too mad. But Irene was sorry for her mother because it took her so long to make the dress. When Irene got home her mother didn't care about the dress. She just cared about Irene!!!!

A Letter from the Dutchess to Mrs. Bobbin

Dear Mrs. Bobbin,

Your daughter is so beautiful and very nice. Thank you for the dress. How did you like the food I gave you?

From,
The Dutchess (Lexie R. )
Dear Mrs. Bobbin,

Your daughter is very brave! She is a good girl, too. I wish I had a daughter like Irene.

Love,
The Dutchess (Evan R.)

Dear Mrs. Bobbin,

Your daughter Irene was good. She had to spend the night at our palace because there was that terrible snowstorm. She came in O.K. with the gorgeous dress . The party was great.

Love,
Dutchess (Amber T.)
