Welcome to our site! We have been so excited about learning about the beginning of flight and the lives of the Wright Brothers. Our class did so many activities.  Not only did we watch two videos-The Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk and The American Experience: The Wright Stuff, we read many books like The Wright Brothers - How they invented the Air Plane, The Wright Brothers Take Off and First To Fly.  We decided that we were so interested in flight that we went on a field trip to see the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, NY.  Did you know that it is built near Roosevelt Field Mall, which is very near Mitchell Field?  That is where Charles Lindbergh started his solo transatlantic fight to Paris.  Anyway, after we saw different kinds of flight from 100 years ago and the present, we let our imaginations "take flight" and we started to think about what flight would be like 100 years from now.  We possibly got some new inventions - who knows!!  We wrote about our past, present and future inventions and drew them too.  We hope you enjoy our work.  We had a blast!
