Our class worked together with Mrs. Burrell's class to learn about the Wright Brothers and the first airplane flight. We read many books about the Wright Brothers, and watched videotape about the history of flight. We used many of the Internet resources provided with this project in our computer lab, and also used KidPix to create two different designs of paper airplanes. After reading the story Me and My Flying Machine by Marianna and Mercer Mayer, we designed and wrote about our own flying machines.
