On December 17, 1903 the Wright Brothers made their phenomenal flight.

We invite you to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of this event by joining our collaborative Internet project.

Who: Students in grades 1-3 (ages 6-8)

What: Classes will study the Wright Brothers and e-mail a sample of their work to be showcased on this web site.  They may approach this topic in any subject area. We will post up to ten graphics per class.  Please include an explanation of the activity so that it can be used as an educational resource.  Click HERE for some ideas.

When: The project begins on September 1, 2003.  Materials are due by December 1, 2003.  The work will be published by December 30, 2003.

Where: Your learning experience can take place in the classroom, computer lab, media center, and even at home.

Why: Because it is an exciting topic and meets state and NETS standards.

How: E-mail the project coordinators, Susan Silverman and Linda Brandon your name, school, grade level, town, and web site url if you have one.
